Choosing Your Door Security

There are a whole range of options when it comes to choosing the right type of security for your door. Protecting your home from uninvited guests, ensures you, your family and your belongings stay safe and secure.

Take a look through some of the options available in terms of door security and see what suits your requirements best:

1.       Door Chains

A door chain provides an elegant and attractive solution to prevent strangers accessing your home or property. Using a chain gives you the option to open the door only slightly before anyone can gain full entry. There are a range of door chains available depending on your budget or requirements.

2.       Door Bars

Bars covering the width of the door, with reinforced bolts, provide optimal protection against break-in attempts and brute force. As door bars are quite intrusive, they’re not always suited to homes, and may be more appropriate for commercial premises.

3.       Door Viewers

A door viewer is a great alternative to a chain. Without even having to open the door you can immediately see who’s on the other side of the door. With conmen becoming a growing danger, a door viewer gives you added protection by letting you decide who you open the door to.

4.       Strike Plates

A door can be easily leveraged open at its entrance point. To avoid this, a security strike plate makes it harder for uninvited guests to lever doors open in and around the lock area. With the ability to fit this to any door type and any door opening, there are a range of options available.
